How About a Little Grass?

Let’s be honest, I love grass.
No! Not what you’re thinking! I love mowing grass! I’ve told tons of people that if I won the Powerball lottery, I’d reach out to the large corporations in Research Park here in North Carolina and agree to mow their acres of grass for $1 a year.
Unfortunately, for over a decade I’ve lived in a condo community where I don’t get the opportunity to mow grass.
But recently, a caregiver friend whose husband is suffering from cancer reached out to a group of us with a list of things she needed help with. Mowing the lawn was on the list!
Immediately, I reached back and agreed to give them a hand, or a mow.
If you are a caregiver, think about the things that, if done, could make your life easier. Then, think of your friends and family who might give you a hand. Simply lay the list out there … you’ll get help from some (there will be folks who surprise you) and others, for a variety of reasons, won’t be able to offer.
Don’t make value judgements, simply take the help you get and say, “Thank You!”
Now, let me search around in my closet for some shoes which I don’t mind getting grass-stained.
