Here’s a great way to ease your caregiver head out of a stressful mode and into a little fun.
Once a week, eat a meal in the European style with bread, cheese, fruit, and wine constituting the meal.
The experience would involve a range of senses (sight, smell, taste, touch), put your mind in a totally different place, and lower stress while still maintaining a healthy diet.
You might like to look for an article about a particular country online, or in a travel magazine or book, to inspire your menu.
Trying different types of foods and wines can be a wonderful way to pull your attention away from everyday stressors and focus instead on simple pleasures.
And, watching a television travel show about your country of choice would provide an even more interesting experience.
(Finally … please, as we Southerners might say, “Act like you’ve got some sense when it comes to the wine!”)
