Mike Collins is an author of eight books including Caregiver 101: 101 Ways to Keep Caregiving From Making You Crazy! and his latest book, Caregiving Can Make Life Crazy!

 

He is a renowned speaker, and award-winning video producer of Care for the Caregiver, winner of a national Caregiver Friendly Award from Today’s Caregiver magazine.

 

His work focuses on improving and saving the lives of an ever increasing segment of the population — caregivers. As a caregiver for both of his parents and friends' family members, he understands the struggles, the chaos, and the joy of providing care for those you love.

 

Mike speaks with caregivers about the need to take care of themselves. He offers tips, tactics, and strategies to help them find the balance they need.

 

In addition, he also has a message for those receiving care — encouraging them to openly give their caregivers permission to take care of themselves as well.

 

Mike is a member of the adjunct faculty of the nationally-ranked Gillings School of Global Public Health at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a guest lecturer in Wake Forest University’s Health Leadership Institute. He has a Master’s degree from Duke University with a focus on Family Caregiver Wellness.

 

Mike has presented 2500+ seminars and keynotes and 300+ webinars, been profiled in Business North Carolina magazine, quoted in Fortune magazine and on Forbes.com, and featured in the book Retire and Thrive.
